Sounds like you did not reinstall the correct driver for your video card.

I need to know what video card is inside the computer (model number and brand) and, more importanly, be sure to always include the version of Windows you're running, it makes helping a lot easier ;) (Windows 95? 98? ME? XP Home? XP Pro? NT?)

Download this package from the ATI site:

https://a248.e.akamai.net/f/674/9206/0/www2.ati.com/drivers/6-1_xp-2k_dd_ccc_wdm_enu_29602.exe

Follow the instructions for installation if any are included. After it is complete, reboot the computer. If you login and the screen is still crappy looking, go into the Control Panel, double-click the Display icon or display settings or whatever, click on the Settings tab, make sure you are at 16-bit, 24-bit or 36-bit color at the very least.

Let me know how you fare.

What version of Windows Media Player are you using? Try to hit Windows Update and grab the WMP version 10 (in Internet Explorer, click Tools menu, choose Windows Update, go to Custom Setup, it should be in Optional Updates section).

Give it a whirl with that, let me know if that helps.
