I really want to paint my Jimmy and get rid of the red or at least a lot of it.

I have seen two-tones that are close to yours that are broken by a third-colored stripe....like this one....

Use a contrasting color pin stripe to separate the colors. Orange, light blue, etc.

Blaz-aire did a rendering with a similar paint job not too long ago.

That looks great. I think it will also look nice with an accent color. What color did you use for the top grey color?
