Any idea how much power led replacement bulbs draw, such as the ones that replace 1157?

My ski club pulls a trail groomer behind a snowmobile and we currently have a large light on the back, but it draws so much power that it literally kills the battery. The draw is larger than the snowmobiles generator will produce.

I was wondering if we installed LED lights if they would be able to give a similair light, but using less power?

They have a great selection of different colors and if you dig thru the site you can find all kinds of info about brightness and degrees of display. Most LEDs draw 1/10th the current but last 10 times as long.

I think it is more like 1/100th the current. it is measured in milliamps

Yeah they definately draw way way less than a regular bulb and are brighter too.
