I have a 93 chevy silverado extended cab step side that I just had painted. I remember reading somewhere on the site that you can swap to a newer grille. If I swap to a 94 or newer is this a direct swap. I don't remember if anything has to be modifed. What years are interchangable? Thanks in advance.

You'll have to get a couple of filler panels. I'm not an expert. Have you tried a search?

I was hoping this would be a direct swap. I did try the search function using grille swap. Anyone else out there that has done this swap.

The new grille will have to have a couple of small tabs cut off of it (one on each end) and the filler piece under the grille (between the grille and bumper) along with the two end caps (on right and left front fender lower corners) will have to be replaced. This will require painting, if you want them to match.

I don't want to sound to dim here, but a little lip on the fender extensions or the center filler piece?
