Hello all just want to put this down to make sure i get it right. Please correct anywhere I get it wrong.

Cab is almost ready for priming. Just waiting on rocker panels to be delivered.

I have wire wheeled the bottom of the cab / welded up all the little holes / repaired cab supports / coated the entire bottom with NAPA's Extend (great stuff by the way goes on very easy)
and lastly sprayed 3M's Rubber undercoating on bottom.

Now im ready to prime the rest of the cab and get out of the way in my garage. Heres my plan.

remove all the rattle can primer i have sprayed.

wash down with white viniger

then spray with an etching primer

From reading everywhere looks like epoxy primer is best. Is etching primer epoxy or do i spray epoxy on top of the etching primer.

After this I plan to spray interior finish coat and leave the outside primed.

This is my first paint job so any help or tips would be great.

Unless you've already bought it, you don't need the etch primer. Epoxy will do basically the same thing and save you another step. Epoxy will stick to the metal and provide a moisture barrier.

About painting the inside, I'd hold off until you finish all the blocking/bodywork on the exterior of the cab. This will save you possible headaches with all the masking involved trying to keep your finish coat clean from primer overspray. But that's just what I'd do.

Sounds like the same way I'd do it too. (in case you wanted a second opinion)
