Got your attention, right.:)
How do you hang a hood, cowl and tailgate for painting? Underside of the hood is painted.
Do you use wire? Where do you attach it?
Front edge of the hood up or down?
Thanks

Put it all back together and paint overall at the same time or bailing wire through bolt holes hung from the top of the paint booth or rafters

I'm what is called "vertically challenged" so my hood etc will be painted on sawhorses, barrels, etc.:D

I'm 6' and I can't reach across the darn thing.
If I could keep my belly out of the way, it would help. Although it's a little smaller than it used to be after working in the garage. Heat should feel like 105 - 115 tomorrow.
Might be able to paint it on the truck after all.:)
Richard Simmons - go buy a truck.

Who's Richard Simmons? Oh and Randy, if he's anything like the woman who threw her drunk husband's appendage out of the window on the freeway, don't tell me.

Don't think he would throw anyone's appendage out the window - unless it wasn't doing aerobics.
Come to think of it, I wish I could throw my appendage out the window. Ahhh... never mind.
Sorry. Too much bondo dust today.:)

We use both light chains and wire. On hoods we usually use the rear 2 mounting bolts. Anything the chain doesn't let us cover won't be seen because of the hinges. on tailgates, we just try to pick out a spot that will be covered up, like for the straps or door hinge bolts.
