Hi Wiring experts..

I am still in the process of wiring up my dash, and I am using the colored wiring diagram shown on this site, and in the gauge cluster plug, there is a pink wire for fuel gauge feed.

What is this wire for? Note that the dummy lights cluster plug does not have this wire...

After tearing apart a stock harness, the pink wire from the gauge cluster is a power feed for the gauges, so it appears to be mislabled in the wire diagram..

True the power feed for the gauges is a pink wire but there is also a pink wire from the sender to the gauge.
Actually it can be either a pink or tan wire and it comes from the tank sender.
This is according to my Haynes 67 to 87 chevy trucks manual.

I have only seen brown (tan) wires from the sender on the 67 - 72 trucks. Pink is probably for the 73 - 87.
