hey what do you guys think of my 63 longbed stepside pickup. i heard its sorta rare cause they didnt make that many longbed stepsides in 63 but i dunno so if anyone could clear that up it would be greatly appreciated. well here are some pics.

hey frizzle fry why is that because no one likes them or what. im really tryin to figure out why. mine has a 1 piece driveshaft.

Well, I don't think they were very popular for two reasons: Stepsides were marketed as "sporty," and less utilitarian. Longbeds are generally considered the opposite. People buy longbeds so they can haul more stuff. Why then turn around and use a narrow bed? To be honest, I don't think many people liked the looks of them.
BUT, it's still cool to have a classic, and the rarity has a cool factor to itself. I'd convert it to short, but that's just me (I'm :crazy: like that);)

Has anyone converted a Long stepside bed to a short? I've seen the threads for cutting a long fleetside bed down but it seems it would be easier with a stepside bed. I suppose it would be easier to just get a pair of short bed sides...
