I vote private cabin cause I only live an hour away from MV and the drive is actually not too bad. I can drive cheaper than stay. I may only go Saturday anyway.

Well I am glad you put the camping option up there for me LUV I will be there just how and with whom I get there is another story!

I think some of the guys here ought to get together and share a room or something. I mean I'm going with my wife so nobody's sharing my room, but as long as people can get along non-smoker, drinker vs. non drinker.

I would be up for sharing a room with someone else if I could get a decent price, I don't care if they smoke or drink but I don't smoke and won't drink at the show.

A smoking room at the hotel across the street is $54.95 a night a tax,
this is for a room with 2 Queen Beds not a bad deal if you ask me ;)

*A Non-smoking room can be had for just $5 a night more :crazy:

When I say not big, 100 trucks or so, see the link in the 2nd post :metal:I think last year he had 160 trucks there. I could be way off on that number. This will be the 8th year that my wife and I have been to this show. I know a few years ago when the show was in Sevierville he had over 400 trucks come out. I don't know why attendance has been off. I don't know if the show is just not being promoted or if he has just moved it too many times. Hell, we go to monthly cruise ins that bring out 300-500 rides depending on the weather. It's still a good show but it is definitely shrinking!

I think it will increase in #'s this year, even though it is being moved over
to MV from PF, the reason I think it will increase because the last site is
just to dated and too small, there is supposed to be alot more space in
MV, and I think the old site was just dragging the show down (Old site
was too cramped, plus 1/2 the vehicles on the lot where hotel guests :crazy:

This year she will be graduating on May 5. We will still be there but it is going to be late on Friday.

Well I would probably still go up friday night just wouldn't stay saturday night. When it comes closer to that time I may be in touch with you guys, I can get to Pigeon Forge without any problem but I will have to have a map to get to Maggie Valley.

That's cool you are going to have to come down my way to get there anyway so if you can tag along that would be cool. Just in case either of us have car problems.

Hey Drew, If you can get to PF, you can get to MV with no problem. Just stay on I-40 through TN into NC, turn right off the MV exit 20. When you get to the stop light, turn right again. The show will be about 3-4 miles on the left. MV has three roads in and out. One from I-40, one from Cherokee, and one from Waynesville. There will be no need for back roads or odd directions, everyting is right on the main drag.

REMEMBER EVERYBODY: Saturday night we go out to eat somewhere together.

Well it's a 7 hour trip for me, and check in is around 3 or 4 I think, so
let me do the math real quick, I loose an hour from CST to EST, I will
probably leave here at 7 ish, be in Nash around 9-10, that will put me
in Knox around 12-1, but that is in the EST zone so more like 1-2, so
I should be at MV around 3-4, not including stops for gas, and lunch?

Actually you come go through Gallatin and go down Hwy 109 until you get to Exit 232. This should be the exit we meet at. It's got some where to eat and it's less traffic then at 238.

Up everyday at 4am for work, but it's not alot of money, but it pays the bills :crazy:

i can do 4 am in Nov. but thats only because I LOVE deer hunting, other than that 5 am is about as early as I can get up and that is only if I am working on something that I enjoy. When I am in Bowling Green at my dorm I can get up at 7:30 sometimes but most days not until 8:45

HuggerCST we normaly hang around Tims set up area and yap and walk around lookin at trucks :metal: and on sat nite we all go out to eat sumwhere and then ride go carts and play but i have no clue if they have gocarts in maggie or not ?
