Thanks!! 55ChevyPU 02-19-2006, 01:48 PM I dont have any pictures but I can tell you there are 2 brackets which bolt to the frame under the bed and those bolt onto the bumper. http://www.brothersonlinestore.com/prodinfo.asp?number=BRKT020 58Apache 02-19-2006, 01:52 PM Yeah that is what we have but the holes dont line up very well. Does the frame sandwich between the two brackets? dwcsr 02-19-2006, 02:25 PM Yes, on some bumpers one bracket goes inside the rail and one goes outside the rail. I have step bumpers on mine and they are not the same type and both mount differently. 58Apache 02-19-2006, 02:31 PM Well after some serious cussing, kicking and screaming we got it on. Just to find out that either the frame is tweaked or less likley that there is a shock issue. The right rear shock is an overload shock and the left side isnt. Im HOPING that is why the right rear side is so much higher but I doubt it........ Igotachevyor2 02-19-2006, 03:23 PM :bling2: its shiney CAL 58 GMC 02-19-2006, 03:36 PM I don't know if it's ture or not on the 55 to 59 chevy's, but I know on the 73 to current truck they all sit lower on the drivers side. Even my 2004 did. You don't really notice it until it's been lowered. If everything check's out okay on your truck then you can have the passanger side spring dearched the amount needed to level it. I had to do this to my newer chevy truck. 58Apache 02-19-2006, 04:59 PM that is an interesting thought. I will have to check that out...... Sam59 01-17-2007, 12:08 AM i didnt wanna pay 99$ for some brackets so i attempted making some and got close, but notice it was still sitting on my tailgate in the picture  |
