I know this question can have 1000 different possibilities but I'm just tossing ideas around. I'm thinking about painting my Jimmy. It's all RED right now and quite frankly, red ain't my favorite color. Thinking of going with a pearl white or something.

Just wondering what you guys thought a pretty good (not show, I want to drive it) paint job should cost provided all that had to be done what strip the old paint off and primer and repaint? (can you paint over existing paint if it's good? I dunno).

What do you think? I'm in Atlanta, GA so any reputable painters in this area that you folks know about would be good also.

72Freak also lives in the Atlanta area as I do (Roswell), and posted something about a body shop in Austell where he had a 72' Burb repainted at good cost with a really nice two-tone dark green body/white roof.

I pm'd him and he sent me this.
"Bernard 404-468-7015
404-597-0524
Tell him David w/green suburban sent you"

I haven't called the guy, so I can't attest. I think he said the guy only works on a few vehicles at a time, so they get done and don't sit in the shop forever. Maybe do a thread search on 72freak; you can see the thread and pix of his 'Burb and the paint scheme. Looks like it might be nice-enough work at a reasonable price.
