:hi2: Hello to all! You guys and the trucks here got me motivated to get of my A#@ and start doing something to my trucks.
I have a running 1955 stock with a 235 stock six that I drive, it's a rust bucket but runs like a clock.
A 1957 ready for a 6 cyl. engine that I got to paint first.
A 1955 3/4 ton with 6 cyl for parts
A 1960 with 6 cyl. for parts.
All are short bed step sides except the 1960.
Plus I've been collecting stock parts for years. I'm going to start selling parts and trucks and engines and keep the 57 and put a 327 - FIS - out side gas tank etc. I plan on doing a frame off but first I'm going to start rounding up parts and save up some $$$ before starting. I also need to aquire more knowedge, books, TOOLS etc. to know what to buy and what to do with them when I start. I kinda know what I want the end result to be. A custome truck that runs like a clock (BIG BIN). I want it just a little lower than stock, about 3" . A/C, power steering w\tilt, power disk brakes nice interior W\ cd player ETC.
It's like my big Harley it's a one of a kind I made by adding the parts I liked. You guys here are doing my dream and have just that kinda know how it takes. I'll try to post some pictures tomarrow. I get cassic trucks mag. I just ordered how to build tri-five chevy trucks book. I'm looking for other publications that will help me. If any of you guys know of any good mag. or books please tell me. Thanks

WELCOME BOB!
This board can take the place of many books. I have learned a ton just by looking through the old threads in here. There is hours of good info to sift threw. If you have questions just ask. Sounds like you have a collection that is going to keep you busy for a long time. I am in the same boat:)

Hey, welcome aboard Bob!!:hiya:

Jebb's absolutely right about this site, more info than you'll find in many, many books. Helpful experience and advice from guys who have been there, done that. I've got that book on Tri Fives, it's good, but you'll learn more here, not from me particularly because I, like you, am new around here. Just ask away and you'll get what you need!!

Enjoy! I do!

Welcome Bob!
The above statements are so true. You can learn allot from all of the members. I like to browse back to some of the older post. I have found you can find answers to many of your questions that way. And of coarse you can always post a new thread too. As for good books, I recommend the 1955 to 1959 Chevy assembly manual. It's a great book for your diassembly and re-assembly.

Hey Bob I am on dial up too. An easy way to load pics onto the board is to go to this site http://www.imagestation.com load your pics in here. Then right click and highlight thr URL number and paste it to the picture URL number area from above your post.

For ebay I always have to save them to my pictures and load them through the browser. Cool trick for here anyways. N2TRUX taught me how to do it.
