View Full Version : Northwest motorfest
Idaho68 02-22-2006, 08:16 PM Looks like it is gonna be June 30-July 2, any of us northwesterners other than me gonna be there? For those that havent had the pleasure of attending this event, I highly recommend it, loads of classic cars and trucks. Hmmm, come to think on it, might be a place to hold an informal meet for those of us in the Boise area, granted I wont have the brute entered, unless they have a class for ugly and beat on, but hey, still good fun.
The website for it is http://www.northwestmotorfest.com/
Pics of last year's event and info on this years is all there
bskylerj 02-23-2006, 06:16 PM This sounds like it would be a fun show. How does the holeshot deal work? You just race for 100 feet? I have a friend that lives there in Boise, I might come down and stay at his house and show the truck.

Yup, as I recall from last year they had organized eliminations, as well as grudge racing, they line you up and use a stop light to start the race. It is a 100 foot course, and for insurance purpouses ya gotta run street tires, no slicks, kinda like the olod stoplight to stoplight runs some of us used to do when we were young and foolish
PS. Anyone headin to the Boise Roadster Show this coming weekend?

I think they would work, not sure, might contact the organizers. Looks like this year they will be running strictly grudge type matchups, no ladder.
twotons 03-13-2006, 03:54 AM sounds REAL interesting, lol. I wanna play
bskylerj 03-13-2006, 05:24 PM Hey Brian, I say we down to this. I got a buddy that just built a house and we can stay there.

409biscayne 03-14-2006, 02:39 AM Doug,
Are you in town this week?sort of , seattle tomorrow. why ?
twotons 03-27-2006, 11:09 PM Brian, i talked to a friend of mine, has been going to this since it has started and says the have banned any dot drag radial or dot slick. ill try and find out more.
bskylerj 03-29-2006, 01:05 AM That would suck. It is hard to race with no traction. Maybe they can call it a moving burnout contest. Are you still hacking up a lung? Despite the drag deal did he think this show is worth going down to?
AKChevyman 06-28-2006, 06:56 PM Just a reminder that this is this weekend I will be there with the 69 Chevelle Silver.
