Hi,
I'm new to this very cool site. Thanks to all those who make it happen. I don't believe I'll ever grow up; I'm still a kid at 60 and wanted to introduce myself by sharing my 68 stepside ride bought last April. Interior has black bucket seats, black carpet, a Monster tach w/shift light, and a floor mounted B&M Light Truck Megashifter. The engine bay hosted a 396ci BBC when I bought it, but I installed a Bill Mitchell crate 572ci tall deck BBC (725HP; 735FT) with an MSD rev limiter. Drive train has a TH400 (built, w/shift kit), single piece driveshaft, and 3.73 Eaton positraction. Exhaust system is quiet with headers married to 2.5" stainless steel pipes and Flowmaster 70s. Recently I bought a cowl scoop but it was a bit shorter than I liked--I'm in the process of extending it (couple more weeks work I should be there). Some areas I am looking to change: Drop the stock height, Change tires and wheels (possibly tub), change exhaust to 3" with Dlta 50's, and intall air. It's not a perfect ride by any stretch but loads of fun to drive. Although I have an appreciation for small blocks (they are very cool, too), my biggest vice is: "I like them there big blocks".
