I have a 70 chevrolet c-10 1/2 ton. I recieved my new interior dome lamp about a month ago. I believe it has two wires: orange and white. I just wanted to know if this was supposed to be hooked into the headlight switch on the dash or onto a switch. If it does go into the headlight switch, where? Thanks alot for the help.

The orange wire goes to the fuse box terminal marked "dome", the white wire to a junction. This junction gives 3 ways to provide a path to ground (your dome light is always "hot"), 1 left door jam switch, 2 right door jam switch, 3 a terminal on the headlight switch back (should be labeled dome in raised plastic letters). I think the junction is near the headlight switch, under the dash area. This junction will consist of 4 white wires joined together, going to the places mentioned..

There should be a two wire connector hanging from the fuse box area to plug it into. The wire colors also match on said connector.
