I'm working on my '59 Chevy Truck. I took off the fenders, and I noticed some rust at the bottom of the front cab near the door hinges ( It's where you bolt the fender to the cab). Does anyone know if they make replacement parts for the front cab area near the door hinges?:confused:

I know LMC sell two small replacement panels for the bottom front corners. I bought them myself. You can go to the web site and order a free catalog. Here's the web site.

Yep, mine looked the same way. That is a common place for rust that goes un-seen until you take the fenders off. Over the years dirt and leave build up from the cowl vent and when it rains it washes it down to the bottom corners, stays moist and starts to rot away. Replacement metal is out there. There are two replacement panels for each side. I got mine from LMC and sure most other classic truck parts shops sell them.

Here's the panels out of LMC's catalog I was talking about. Panels 2 & 3 in the photos is what you would need. Part 2 is the hinge pillar (38-7924 LH & 38-7925 RH) at $39.95 each and Part 3 is the hinge pillar lower iner pocket (38-9066 LH & 38-9067 RH) at $29.95 each.
