I am working to change the engine in my 91 Silverado and I want to re-attach the cruise control to the new motor. I am taking the TBI motor out of the truck and I am installing a corvette TPI motor in it's place. The motor install is basically simple, but the amenities are a little time consuming. The throttle cable and the auto tranny detent cables are common from a Camaro, but I am not sure about the cruise control cable. I need a longer one and I was wondering if anyone could say that the cable from a GM LT1 or Vortec motor would attach to the cruise control box on the 91 Silverado. The cable on my wife's Impala SS is about 54" long and it looks as if it would work on the TPI throttle body. Any thoughts or experience here?
