Here is some details about a HUGE autoshow at Lowe's Motor Speedway in Charlotte, NC. I will be cruising down on the 7th for the day.

Has anyone been to this before? I'm sure traffic is a you know what (I've been to the coca-cola 600). Is there a lot of vendors for 67-72 truck parts in the "flea market" area? I'll be looking to buy a lot of new stuff and hopefully save on some shipping.

Yes for the last 3 yrs but might not be able to go this year,saveing my money to go to bristol at super-chevy,haven't been there for about 15-20 years wow can't believe it's been that long cruised down in my ex 66 impala SS.But charlotte is awsome too.would like to go there too but,$$$$$.

I live about 20 minutes from BMS Randy. Planned on going to the Chevy show also.

As far as vendors at the Charlotte show, I was told they have 10,000 vendor spaces, and the Swap Meet area is about 150-175 acres. This will be my first trip but the guy I am going with has been many, many times over the last 10+ years. They have this twice a year.

if i can come up with a couple of vendor spaces in the infield swapare i'll go for the full show,if not then probablly just thurs&fri

I might be going. I don't really need anything just yet, so I should have plenty of time to hang out with some of you guys. It is a BIG swap meet. I've never been able to walk it in one day, and walk the next. To be able to see everything, you really need a couple days.

I'll repost and send some PM's as it gets closer.

Sweet, sounds like Carlisle, PA (been there a few times) I guess I'll have to try and find a "babysitter" for my two dogs:lol:

I just found out I have all 4 days off and will be there all weekend. Tim Christian will be there set up as usual, so if anybody wants to look at new parts or just a place to get out of the sun(rain sometimes) look him up. Tim will post his spot numbers for everybody to drop by. We all camp right on his spots. We basically never leave the show until Sunday.:metal:

figures... I don't think I am goin to be able to make it this spring. HC will be there, but I do not think I can deal with the heathens in that setting ( can't even go toe the grocery store without one or two running off anymore ;) )

I'm still debating on coming or not--it's the kids birthdays that weekend and family will be here. Of course we could do the traditional birthday at Hooters again-LOL. It's quite a show.(The auto fair that is)

Well, it looks like I'll be there on Sunday. I'll definately be by Christians to buy something.

Was going Sat, but forcast is for heavy rain/thunderstorms(80%)...Sunday sounds good now.

I too had planned on coming saturday but as rodnok mentioned, weatherchannel.com is showing scattered t-storms for ALL of saturday:( I definately can't make it on sunday. Oh well. It figures, last weekend was absolutely beautiful here (about 2 hrs from charlotte)

It's a great show and I've never had a problem with traffic in or out of there. I'm changing plans and going tomorrow because of the weather.
