I'm in Newcastle, and last summer I rented a cottage in Fenlon Falls on Surgeon Lake side of the locks right on the river. This world is getting smaller and smaller.

If your up this way again stop by, we have something that might interest you. My dad is in the middle of building up a '48 GMC 5 window 3 ton, put it on a '85 E-350 6.9 l diesel chassis as the original chassis is long gone. His shop is across the road from the Canadian tire. Also I live close to Sturgeon Point near Sturgeon Lake, if your up PM me.

No kidding, I was in talking to your father last summer! He's a really nice guy, I could have talked all day with him. He knew of an old 1930-something Dodge pickup a friend of mine was interested in. Your father had the frame and running engine at his garage (holding it for payment I think) but the rest was at the old estate. The lawyer for the estate was not releasing the rest of the truck for some reason and my buddy didn't want to deal with the lawyer so he stopped calling about it. Maybe you could get an update for me about it and ask him what year it is to refresh my memory?
I have a few parts for the truck your father is building if he needs them, they came with my 1/2 ton. I have Loadmaster hood and a pair of short running boards that are in pretty good shape, I'm not sure if the hood will fit the GMC though.

Wow, it is a small world after all. We still have the '38 Dodge sitting around. Same story with it though. Also we still have a couple of other cars in our storage building from the same estate. It really is too bad. PM with your friends name and phone number or call my dad @ 705-887-CARS about the truck if they still have an interest in it. BTW; his name is Roger
