What is the problem with one of those self adjusting radios when it just keeps going up and down and then blaring to nothing then up and down again??
Its in a 97 p/u and has gotten steadily worse!! Is it the radio or something that is suppose to pick up the road noise and adjust it? Sometimes you hit the brake and it goes all the way down then picks itself back up.
P.S. It doesn't matter which postion the switch is in either.

My $.02, the factory radios are just cheap. My 96s radio acted like that before she just died. I'd look at a replacement and the aftermarket is much better and cheaper than getting another factory one.
