I have a viewsonic VP930b (actually 2 of them) hooked up to my work notebook. They came with a software CD that includes drivers and pivot software (for switching between portrait and landscape views). I won;t use that feature so is there any need in installing any of the software? I just plugged 'em in and they seem to work fine. . .

driver will provide color correction capabilities and ICM files usually. I would at least fetch the driver from the CD. I would leave the pivot software off.
