I put a new hard drive in my old Gateway & put the XP Install disk in. It is at the
setup screen & it is asking if I want to install XP on the unpartitioned space or create a partition.Which do I want?

You probably want to select new partition, then select your new drive. This is assuming you still have the old drive in the machine.

This replaced the old drive.

personally, when prompted, i would pick NTFS partition, but you prolly already formatted and installed :)
