I made this offer in a thread on the 67-72 board, but since it was regional I thought I'd post it here.

Anyone in the Seattle area is welcome to use my blasting cabinet for free. I know how expensive blasting is, especially if you just have a few small parts.

The deal is:


Part must be brought to my place in Monroe, WA
Part must be reasonably clean; can't blast a greasy chunk
Part should have a tag or something attached that says it's yours
If you want it right away, c'mon over and blast away. If you can wait a bit, I'll do yours when I'm doing mine :)
I suggest bringing a spray bottle of etch - flash rusting happens in like 3 seconds around here.

Wow, excellent offer. I'll have to check to see what I need blasted. Since my dad sold his auto parts store in Oregon, my source for blasting disappeared.

Bill, How big is your cabinet? I have some 16.5 wheels that will not fit in my cabinet. I was going to take them to a commercial blaster in Southpark. Do you think they will fit in your cabinet?

I have about 2.5 million things to blast. Of course the biggest "piece" is the '69 C20 sitting in my dad's field. I guess I should take it apart first...
