View Full Version : Pics of my 50 GMC Bus
BBEEP 03-24-2006, 01:12 PM :fb: What should I do with it? I bought a 76 1-ton dually with airbags, 454 a/c. I was thinking I would part out the sheet metal of it and use the frame and running gear under the bus. But is there a value to the bus when I've done it? Is it worth the effort? I have other projects to do, and this is way down on the list.

3100 special 03-24-2006, 08:34 PM Coooooool!
All depends on you brother. What do YOU want it to be when it's done. Are you doing it to keep or resell one day?
Me? I would go for your original plan. I'd love to have something like that. Soon as I'm done with my panel, I'll be looking for a vintage travel trailer to re-do.
You can have it all rolled into one with that cherry!
Good luck!
Lippyp 03-29-2006, 11:36 AM Man, why don't we get cool stuff like that this side of the Atlantic, I love the chimney!
67chevemall 04-03-2006, 10:19 AM sell it to me!
Jebb1978 04-04-2006, 04:30 PM I think it's really cool! Bagged would be killer too, I don't think anyone could tell you what the end value would be as it would be really off the wall! I think that in itself makes it worth the efforts. Can you afford to do it and not make a profit? Then do it!
qksilver 04-04-2006, 10:10 PM Sell it to me, or I will trade ............depending on where you are, been looking for a short bus
jay-dawg 04-05-2006, 04:16 AM I say make it into the parade bus. That way you can pack in the cheeleaders everytime!

He's in Europe man you probably don't want to buy it or trade, that would be expensive.
BBEEP 04-05-2006, 07:08 PM EUROPE?!?, I am in Eugene, Oregon. I have decided to go ahead and SELL the bus. I'll get more pictures posted next week. I drove it home about 45 miles--top speed 42 mph!

special-K 05-18-2006, 12:47 PM You`d have to be retarded to ride in a bus like that.Sorry,I know, politically incorrect, too. That thing would make an awesome cruiser.
BBEEP 05-18-2006, 12:50 PM I was going to order a custom license plate: WETODD.
You may have to say it outloud to get my drift!
special-K 05-18-2006, 02:44 PM Man you`re mean.J/k

subtle71 05-18-2006, 10:12 PM I'm diggin' the short bus! Keep us updated.
Apache 05-20-2006, 11:08 PM I bet that was a fun ride driving that thing down the road lol. Ive pulled a mobile home UP a field running over small cedars with a 58 2 ton before  That was fun also. Expesially considering it had no brakes...that emergency brake worked really well though.
Enough of my rant, I personally think that bus would be really cool to build. As for resale I dont think many people would offer you what you put into it. But if you plan on keeping it than it would be a really nice truck to take on vacations.
higgiec10 05-21-2006, 09:35 PM slam!!!!! it on bags
LUV2XCLR8 05-22-2006, 03:21 PM I was going to order a custom license plate: WETODD.
