I am wiring up power door locks & alarm system in a 72. There will be about 4 different items that need power. I was thinking of putting a junction block behind the seat on the floor(gas tank is not in the cab it has a blazer tank w/ sidemarker fill) What I am after is not having a bunch of wires running to the engine compt. Does any one have ideas & or pics? Mike

Sounds like a good idea, you can get small fuse panels(4 fuses) at parts store. That may be what you need. If you're looking for just a junction block you can get them at Jegs and Painless carries same.

http://www.madelectrical.com/index.shtml has some diagrams that show junctions at various spots. I have one at the fire wall one at the radiator for fans and headlights and one in the rear for the fuel pump and air pumps.

I would recomend a small 4 or 5 circuit add on fuse box. Then you can protect all the stuff you are hooking up. I would also mount it under the dash instead of on the back wall. You'd have to run wires to the back wall, then back forward to get to the door jambs and the alarm and all that good stuff. There's plenty of roo, up under the dash of these rigs.
