When I bought my truck a few years back it didnt have a radio. Well I had to have tunes so I installed a cd player. The weird thing is that the radio works fine but if I turn on my headlights or running lights the radio shorts out and goes off but comes back on and a pop sound is heard thru the speakers. I thought maybe there was something wrong with the headlight switch so I replaced it but it still shorts out. The remote wire (on\off) I hooked up to ignition wire and the constant hot wire I hooked up to the fuse box on one of the spade slots. Any ideas on what is causing the short. Thanks O yeah my truck is a non a\c 71.

i'd redo the ground wires from the firewall to the engine and the floor of the cab to the frame
