I keep popping my tail lights fuse, I covered all exposed wires, tightened loose ends and replaced the fuse, I turned them on when I got home from work and they are out, fuse is popped again, bulbs are correct, wiring is right.

Im scratchin my head at this, I even traced the wires down the truck to see if its exposed and none of the wires exposed. No archin or sparkin while on.

If you are turning the headlights on too you may have a grounding short in the dimmer switch. The other thing I thought of is do you have the correct fuse in the fuse holder?

Give the bulb socket a good once over too. I had a broken spring short the socket out once.

start at the back and start eliminating things. It could be numerous things, I have had a spring break in the socket and cause the same issue, I have also had a bad bulb pop fuses. Start with a handful of fuses and then take out one taillight bulb, try it and then take out other taillight bulb, then unplug wiring harness for taillights under the truck. Keep working forward until the fuse stops popping then you have isolated the problem and can look from there. The PO of my truck butchered the taillight wiring to put in a trailer connector, I had to completely redo my taillight wiring.

Hope that helps
