Hi There,
Found this forum after weeks of searching for somewhere on info for 69 Burb.
Great to be here at last:)

As the title says Im accross the pond in the UK! And parts are somewhat completly non existent LOL

Well what do I have? Its a 69 Burb long wheelbase Custom 20 8/350 with 4 speed manual. Pretty much standard at present but Im putting a Getrag 5 speed on the back of the 350, going to swap in some air-bags (will need advice on this soon so whatch out for the questions to start) then depending on funds swap in some 20" wheels. I want to stay with the 8 stud option I have now so when winter comes again (has it left??....dont feel like it!) I hav put the old steels back on as the use copius ammounts of salt on the roads here that eats nice wheels in a month or so. Im just desperate for a replacement lift gate (Isnt everyone!) as mine is shot.
Also converting it to dual fuel with a LP-gas conversion that I picked up for $150 as gas here is now about $7 a gallon!:whine:

Any way, Im also building a steel 32 Pick-up with 55 Buick nailhead.
For pics of the burb & the rod have a peek here .

Burb pics are in the 69 Burb album, and the new rod is in the Speedshop album.

:welcoem: Hello from the dominion. The burb's a beaut. Ever think about dropping a small diesel in there? Do up a biofuel convert and power it on old fryer grease? We just hit $.4.72 a gallon and I'm starting to think.

Hi all,
Yeah I love driving something different (Hate these stupid Euro box cars!) and the burb is great. I thought about a diesel but thats still about $7 a gallon! and then the burb sounds like it shold be on the farm with the tractors LOL:lol: (the Burb is my daily car, gets a bit of a pain trying to park it in our small parking spaces !!)
In fact I even converted the wife to unusual cars (all be it a bit smaller than the burb!)
Do a search on google for - Nissan Figaro - and you will see what I mean not you ususal Jap car!

If anyone does find a good lift gate, would be really interested.

Just going to spend some time searching the board now for airbag advise....
Cheers

Welcome from western colorado!
If you want when i actually get some time off i'll keep my eyes open for a tailgate/liftgate here in the local junk yards i frequent...

Time off is sometimes an issue as i work in the oilfields here in western colorado and wyoming as i do directional work...
