I have a used rear glass that has some hard water stains, what is the preferred method of cleaning that off with out scratching the glass?

Thanks!

:agree:

Work up a good wet paste and polish it gently with a soft rag then rinse with lots of water.

There is this stuff at the store called Spot-X, think it's made by the same people who make Rain-X. You will absolutely not believe how well this stuff works. It is worth the $12-18 you will pay for the bottle and you won't be able to find enough uses for it. I found out about this stuff living in central FL and having glass shower doors in all the bathrooms in the house. The scaley water spots wiped off when nothing else would work. Then I found it works on cars and the outside of the house's windows (from sprinklers and crap), even removed the rust stains from the wall (water was heavy in iron)

Steel wool, grade 0000. Wont scratch glass and in fact the package says can be used to polish glass.

yup. 0000 steel wool w/ vinegar works well (just be sure to keep it well lubricated while your doing that). You can follow up w/ Klasse All-In-One (AIO) applied by hand or if you have a buffer or polisher at a low speed (300-500 rpm). Works great!
