i am looking to put an aftermarket cam in my 350. i already have an edelbrock performer intake with a edelbrock 600 cfm electric choke carb. i was just wondering what durrations and lifts etc etc would be a good choice for my small block. i dont want something that idles at 1500 rpms and almost dies but i want some rumble... help me out if you would. please.

my personal favorite is the stock chevy 350 horse 327 cam, nice and rumpity, pulls like mad and enough torque to get 'er done. but since you already have the performer intake, a performer cam would match well, IMO

that would make a good combo, sticking with edelbrock.......best bet though is talk to a cam company, tell them all the details and see what they recommend

Dont use the edlebrock cams, way old school, Also the cam you choose will depend on several variables, Weight, Trans, Gearing, purpose & how the engine is built, the performer intake and carb isnt much better than stock, if the rest of the engine is stock I would say the 327/350horse cam would be a safe bet or call the cam companies for their recomendations, possibly a good RV cam.
