I was thinking of putting a dana 60 front and dana 70 rear (that I happen to have in my possesion) under the stock frame and make it a 4x4. Only problem is that I want to keep the original motor and trans in it so I will need a divorced tcase. That would make the front driveshaft about 6-7 feet long. And it would sit about 4" higher than it is now. COWABUNGA !! :metal: :metal: :metal:

Okay here it goes. Cut the hump out of the roof some. Do not chop the top though. Put a 55 chevy car front end like Chip Foose did on Overhaulin'. Mustang II ifs front end. 4link suspension in the rear and airbagged all the way around and tuckin 22" wheels all the way around. Paint it silver with black 22" wheels.

Here's what I'd do: Shorten to Blazer or shortbed length, add a rear quarter window, wheels, and drop:cool: (some of these are also sectioned)

I would go the other way with it.Leave it long, chop 3 inches out of the top, drop it,modern extendedcab frame, and drivetrain. That side is just begging fora mural of some kind too.Totally awesome blank canvas to work with though.

brainchild's idea sounds great to me. maybe section a little though (if you're gonna chop it) so it doesnt look uneven. then i'd do the old automotive shop advertisement on the side.

I'd add baby moons and some wide whites on a black truck. paint the grill & bumper silver. hot rod stance. interior would be a contrasting color like lipstick red. if you don't go with windows in the rear, a nice company logo would look good. maybe some wood longboards on the top would cap it off.

just my .02

I haven't really decided on a paint scheme............those mottled colored pics are tough to make look good.
