Just bought a '98 Suburban 4x4 that I think has tripped itself into some kind of anti-theft mode. It will start and run for a few seconds, then cut off. All the lights and stuff are still on, just stalls. I can turn it off and it will start right back up and run again for a few seconds, then cut off again. Anything I can do to check it out? The dealer wants $79.95 an hour to just tell me whats wrong with it, fixing it will be even more. If anyone can help me, it will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Are you sure you have the correct key with the "chip" in it?
