dirtball 05-02-2006, 01:07 AM Hi all. Been lurking here a couple of weeks, thought it was time to join up. This is a great site. There is a LOT of great info in here. I have my reading cut out for me. I am just starting my first truck project, so this place will definetly be helping me out. I look forward to meeting you all.

That is where I currently reside. Lived up in Breckenridge for 7 years previous to Ft. Collins. Yup, there sure are some real mountains around here.

I was on Michael Ln.. (near Taft Hill off of Prospect) we had nothing between us and the elementary school at the time, so the view out the living room window was the hog backs. I miss the summers there but I don't miss having the buggers freeze solid in my nose in February... lol
It was 1977 when I moved, so I imagine the place has changed a bit since then. :)

I'm just up the road from there, Taft & Elizabeth. Things have changed a lot in the 3 years I have been here. Yup, frozen boogies blow:)

It brings back a lot of memories... busting up the ice in the horse trough when it's 3 degrees at 6:00am before walking to school.... fishing up at Horsetooth in the summer.
Our house was right on the corner of Michael Ln and Prospect. We had one of the drainage ponds in our back yard. I remember a friend and I building a bridge our of logs, old fence posts and flat lumber so that all the kids (including us) could cross the creek between our pond and the larger ones beyond without ballancing on the old logs laid across the creek.
I suppose one place is much like any other place, but you can easily get nostalgic about the place you spent your childhood in, especially when you haven't seen it in 29 years.
86swb 05-09-2006, 04:28 PM Sounds like you two dirtballs know each other. Welcome from Kentucky.
