that's a virus. any time you get an attachment from anyone, if you EVER find it has a "password protected" file attached to it, you can rest assured it's a virus - even if it comes from someone you know.

people don't send password protected files in the real world - it just doesn't happen. if you ever get a file from someone that gives you a password for it, don't trust it. if it's someone you know, email them back and ask them what it is. chances are they've fallen for it and they have been infected by it, and their computer is trying to spread it now.
