My question is, Why are you asking? What are you trying to do? dennislbrooks 05-09-2006, 02:25 PM My friend has a 66 --he is about 6'6" and needs more room. I can cut 1-2" out of the botton part of the column shaft but wondered how much prob on the column shift after I push the culumn into the dash. thanks Shorty Cox 05-10-2006, 05:53 PM Dennis, OK, I see what you are asking. I think you will run into problems with the shift linkage from the shift tube to the tranny. (unless you shorten the shift tube by the same distance) When you move the column forward, you will move the shift tube and shift levers forward also. I think your friend just needs to get used to driving close the the wheel. Bruce |
