I know this sounds crazy, but I was thinking about changing frames to make this truck 2-wheel drive. I was wondering what it would look like slammed on 20-22's. Thanks in advance. You guys do great work.

Not to nit-pick, but wouldn't it be sooooo much easier to simply trade that thing in on a 2-wheel-drive? Seeing how that one is a Z, you should actually come out better moneywise.

Why would anyone want to slam a 4-wheel drive? It defeats the purpose!

I knew it would sound crazy to most of you, but it has been up for sale for a while now and wouldn't bring what I was asking because it is a rebuilder/salvaged truck. I have access to all the parts and equipment that it would make it a weekend job to change the body onto a 2 wheel drive frame. And to be honest, I probably won't do it anyway, but I thought that a picture would help me make up my mind if I wanted to chop up a 4 wheel drive or just keep trying to sell it.

Doesnt defeat the purpose, you would just have a lowered 4wd....that means more traction on the street....that means better launches

Look at the new sportruck, there is a SS doin a 4 wheel burn out...cant do that with 2wd

I was going to say the same thing, it would just be easier to trade it for a 2wd... But would a dealer take a salvaged title... and if not its alot harder to sell a vehicle thats already repaired from a salvage than it is to sell one still wrecked..... so I would just front clip it with 2wd drive parts

I would jsut lower it if thats what you truly want. Put shackles in the rear and lower the torsion bars up front, I've actually lowered 4wd tahoes using rear lowering coils for a 2wd and by droppin the torsion bars up front...

I'd think you 'd need to find a place like "Bill Bob's used cars" on the side of the road in any small town in America. Not a big name dealer. The little guy would jump on that, and then sell it to his cousin.

I say lift it and put 20's on it. That thing would look sweet with some 37/12.50/20's on it...:metal:

lowering it could be cool if properly done. i sure wouldn't buy a salvaged title for regular money. it'd have to be cheeeeep.

lots of high performance cars have four wheel drive, only they call it all wheel drive, 'cause it sounds more refined. (i know they're different, just having fun.)

all wheel drive p/up sounds cool

Nice GMC! There are a few guys that have lowered 4x4 trucks on www.Fullsizechevy.com

Have you considered clearing your headlamps and running some clear parking lamps?

Clear ones are cool.... but I really like the black ones, and they would look good on his being black on top
