Finally got some pics taken of my truck last weekend. Started out as a '58, but will be getting a tri-five front end and is packing an Olds 350/TH-400 with a 10 bolt.

:D Think I'll have to pass on that one. You're probably not too far from it. Not sure where Ashland is, but my house(where the truck's at right now) is in Oneida, about an hour north of Knoxville.

It looks to be in reasonably good shape.

Better shape than one would expect considering where I bought it from. It needs the usual stuff like corners, hinge pockets, and steps, but for the most part it's fairly solid. For those of you familiar with the '57-'62 Corvettes, I'm planning on doing something similar with the white behind the wheel well and some grille work. Only thing I haven't decided is if I want to keep it simple(and more within my price range) by sticking the the '57 single headlight look or go with the '58-'62 dual headlights. I finally found some different taillights I want to use on it. Now I just have to get my hands on a Cobalt coupe or HHR to appropriate them.

Well, looks like I may have spoken a little too soon about it being in fairly good shape. Finally got the bed and inner fenders off a few weeks ago and found some more trouble spots. :(

Do y'all think I'll need to get a new cowl for this or can I just weld up the holes?

Also, this fender will require both front and side patch panels. In your experience is it cheaper to get it patched or just replace it?

Last question, any suggestions on a better way to make the exhaust fit without touching the steering box?

Well, Ya gotta start somewhere. Are you planning on doing the rust repair yourself?

I want to, but where it sits now is where I'll be working on it, so I'll probably just have the local body shop do it for me.

I was going to Wyotech in Blairsville, 40 miles east of Pittsburgh on 22 in Indiana county. I'm back in Tennessee now. Fixed my location.
