Hey ya'll,

I got a problem.. i'm a lowly unemployed student @ nadc, and i have fallen on some bad luck. one of my headers, that i purchased less than a month ago, has cracked at the weld between one of the primaries and the collector.

I cannot weld, nor do i have access to a welder. i cant afford new headers.. i bought the cheapies when i picked em up so no warranty.

So, if anyone can help, i'd be willing to pay a small fee, or if theres anything i can help someone with that they need an extra hand for, i'd be more than happy to do that in exchange for some help.

i really appreciate any help i could get, and in exchange you'll have a helper on call for as long as i'm attending nadc.

thanks,
Will

You didn't state if the crack was from damage or just faulty headers. If you are already having trouble and they're not a month old you are probably wasting your time. You might check with the local muffler shops and get a price. I'm 120 miles away so that leaves me out. Good luck.

Can you not get someone at the school to weld them?

i didnt think i'd be able to get anyone to do it, but surprisingly i did.. the headers themselves dont leak now, but its still leakin from somewhere.. gaskets i assume :( always somethin. the exhaust ticks and it shakes all the time, and i cant for the life of me figure out why... but anyways thanks alot for the bumps fellas, this board is the best

just a little trick (do this outside) while you are watching have some one put a little atf in the carb while some one holds a rag over the exhaust pipe it will smoke enough for you to see where the leak is
