Well, the front bumper is AWOL on my truck, so I'm looking for some suggestions for alternatives. Any other vehicles that had bumpers that look cool on it? I'm not afraid to modify a lil, just looking for something that's going to look right on there. 65 bumpers are a lil hard to come by these days and I wanted to see what was out there before I drop a few hundred on a repo bumper

I may just end up fabbing up a front roll pan style bumper if nothing else is available and I'm feeling the urge to bust out the torch ;)

Do it. See what you come up with. Its easy to put a bumper on and cheaper but heck you can be proud of fabbing your own stuff. Its what its all about. You can always go back and put a bumper on.

i didn't like the front bumper on my 64,so i cut the fraim horns off and swaped them from left for right and fliped the bumper over then welded the horns th the bumper, and made nut plates to bolt the bumper back on.
i hope to be able to get some pics soon.

That's an interesting mod you did for the bumper there Brian.
I'm curious as to how it looks,
post pics when you get a chance!

Here's an idea  (I laugh, but I also applaud the creativity)

I'm sectioning mine (adding height) to drop the lower/front edge:

Since it looks like you're getting a free bumper, here's another idea. Without going as far as I did with the section, you can cut the front frame horns off and move them down and back like I did here. This will "tuck" the bumper in tighter to the body and look better than stock (IMO) ;)
