Does anyone know how to unlatch the tailgate on a 94 jimmy if the key no longer works. There is no internal handle and the tailgate window button is inoperative. Once I get it open, I can replace the lock. Thanks for any help on this one

I'm not sure. Are you referring to the S/T version of the Jimmy? I don't know if they still made the full size version then.
Maybe try some of the boards dedicated to those trucks like http://www.s-series.org/ or http://www.s10forum.com/ or http://s-seriesforum.com
you may have to sift through a lot of BS on those boards

Welcome to the board. I moved your post to an area that might be better at getting an answer to your question.
If this is a S-series, one of the clips on the rod that runs from one side to the other may have slipped off or broken, so it won't release. You'll need to very carefully pry the latches loose to get tailgate to drop... you can't see them since it is shut, but if you look at another Blazer or maybe a pick-up, you could figure out how to get them to release. I can take pics and post them of my Blazer's tailgate and latches if need be...
Then you can remove the tailgate trim cover and check/fix the clip.
Also, this one isn't too bad... http://www.s-series.org/
