i have a 94 chevy im putting back together.just built the engine and the 4l60e is slipping.i have a good 700r4 laying around out of a 92 i think, other than me needing the bracket for the tv cable, would this be much of a problem?

might have some issues with the TCC as the 700r4 was not computer controlled

Barrel of snakes. Your ECM is the type that controls the transmission, too. Your best bet is to see if you can trade that 700R4 for a 4L60E.

I have a 95 silverado with a 4l60e what I did was seperated the transmission wire harness round plug from the engine harness and put a standard shift transmission engine control mod. in place of the automatic and plug back the engine harness back to it just keep in mind to weed out the transmission wires and plug but keep the vss wire it goes to the engine part and goes to the trans part of the computer just cut the two by the Y connection when you weed out the transmission shift wiresI did it in about a 2 hour time and made a wireharness with the vss and reverse light.:metal: :hm: :metal:
