Has anyone out there used a low hump cab on a 4x4. I figure a guy has to cut out the low hump area and screw in the high hump. I found a decent cab I might buy if this doesn't involve more work than I have time.
Thanks

Hey,where`ve you been?Yeah,I have one like that done very nicely by a p.o.He rolled the edges like factory. The truck was a beat K/20 that he put a nice original C/20 Camper hauler body on.The only way to tell is the 2wd serial#.Go for it,shouldn`t be much to it.Rolling the edge helps stiffen it and looks(?) best.Another option would be cut-out 4wd floor beyond lip and weld-in to keep the lip.If you don`t have the 4wd cab,you could weld a strip around the opening or make a strips from 1/8" and follow the opening. This way you could drill & tap the mounting holes for top-side one man R&R.

What the heck, I think I'll go for it. It is hard to find good cabs in Wyoming.
As to where I've been, I've basically been working a lot and remodelling the house. I just got a promotion, so I should start selling parts more often. I will have a smaller area to cover and less remodeling to do. I plan on completing my truck by spring if everything goes well.
Thanks for the info.
Take care
