Another great group of trucks this month. Thios month's winner of Truck of The Month is

John Fabris

1967 C10 Short Fleet
350 V8 with 700r4 transmission
4 wheel power disc brakes
has A/C, PW, PS, PB, hidden towhitch
Wood bed (Teak), rear gas tank with filler in rear stake pocket
lowered 4 inch in front, 6 inches in rear.

90% of the stuff I did to my truck was done after spending many hours researching here at 67-72chevytrucks, and I could not have done this truck as well as I did without this board. I want this truck to be an example for all of the guys and gals here to show that with time, info, and never giving up, anyone can build a sweet truck whether stock or custom.

My goal was to build a truck that at fist glance seems stock, but then as you look at it, you will see many custom things.

Great job John, and I'll be hitting you up for some of those tweaks. ;)

Thanks to all in the poll and in this thread!!!!

Like I said before, I could not have done this truck without all of the knowledge here!!!! The only thing that I did not do myself was the final paint, everything else was done after reading and researching this site on how to do things and where to buy the best parts....

All of you guys and gals rock:metal:

Well, if I am going to be a second place winner (first loser), I want to lose to a beauty like that! Hey John, you are only about 20 miles from me, we should get our trucks to meet in person someday.

HI Jerry,

Thanks for the kind words!! In my opinion, 1967-68 and 1971-72 are the best looking chevy trucks!! Your black one is pretty sweet!!

What are you doing next Tue night or Wed night?
On Tue we have a weekly carshow at a small hotdog stand in benicia, and then on wed they have a car show section at the Vallejo farmers market, maybe we could hook up one of those nights??

My next couple of weeks are very busy, I will pm you when I simmer down. I would be glad to come out and see the fine rides of Benicia and/or Vallejo.

Hey John, That IS a beautiful truck. I had to come check it out after I talked to you at the party Saturday night. Well you have seen my truck and IF I can get mine to look half as nice as yours, I will be a happy man. Congrats on the win you deserve it.

Hey John, (truckresq), thanks!!! Hope you had a nice time at the party, I don't get to see James too much. Let me know if you ever need help with your 69, it was one of the first things I noticed sitting on the yard!!

Talk to you later..
