Alright this is one of the most common questions ever developed for people who could turn a wrench. "How do I get more power?". now the added part is more power while using less GAS. I will soon rebuild my stock 350 Chevy engine. I want to have a better idea of how i want it to turn out. I know the general ways to get more power, but i want to know specific combinations to get more power without a drastic drop in gas mileage. Get rid of the junk in your truck you carry around that you don't need. re-gear the truck to the way you will be driving it the most.

Only ways I know to improve performance while improving MPG.

Any air-filter except one made of paper.
A free-er flowing exhaust.
A motor has to inhale and exhale properly to run right.
that is why race cars do not have thick paper air-filters and catalytic converters.
