So, I was peering around on the web and found a PDF of a couple of things, including the Haynes Welding Manual (which I can't redistribute legally), and also some Navy training manuals (I can distribute freely) which are two separate course manuals used to train welding with various tools and processes, and also covers the fundamentals of welding.

I'm making this announcement in the hopes that I don't get inundated wiht requests to send them out.

I have these two Navy training manuals which seem to be great introductory to novice reading material. They are 10MB in size each. If anyone has the web space to host these things, I can zip them up and give you a link to download them from me. I think it could be very beneficial to anyone who is new to welding like me. As much as I learn better from watching a person teach it, reading about the different types of welding (arc/MIG/TIG/torches/plasma), how they work, and their usage was very informative. Learning how to guage what amps to run for various metals and how to run beads was helpful also.

:fb:

Curious to hear thoughts and, more than anything, offers for a place to host these files for other people to view :D

Also - while I'm at it, Miller has classroom/teaching/support materials here as well:

So if you need some help getting started up, their site is a great resource. In fact, here's an online e-training course at their site covering MIG welding and other stuff:

Nothing beats hands-on training, so that's what I'm looking for next.
