What year did the 700R4 first appear on Chevy-GMC 1T, 2WD, 454 dually pickups?

I may be wrong, but I don't think a 700r was ever in a 1 ton dually. Only th400 until the 4L series. A 700r is way too weak in stock form to live behind a big block puller, if it was offered, it would not be the smart choice.

Thanks for the response. You're right, the OD trans wasn't offered in the dually.

I don't think it was ever put in a one ton, a daullie, or a 454 truck.... any truck with any of the 3 choices there had a 400 or a 4l80e from what I've seen.
