Not going to go crazy with this one. DD. Coming soon is some new tires. Joe67 08-12-2006, 10:12 AM Nice rig Crummy  ok- nice - looks stock ding ding ding - you win :D 1969 C/K CST 09-06-2006, 01:20 PM Debadged the truck. Put the LT emblems from a 2006 Suburban back on the back of the cab. Ordering a 2006 bowtie off an Avalanche for the tailgate. Z71 logo on the rear quarter is still there. Haven't decided on that yet. Maybe an emblem off a Tahoe or Suburban if I can find a large enough one. Yeah, I need to take some pics. I will when I get some new treads for the finished look. GlennBrittain 09-06-2006, 10:57 PM I have a set of factory manuels if you are interested pm me. Wife traded hers in for a diesel Jetta. 1969 C/K CST 09-07-2006, 09:35 AM I have a set of factory manuels if you are interested pm me. Wife traded hers in for a diesel Jetta. Are you talking about service manuals? GlennBrittain 09-10-2006, 08:22 PM Yes, but they are the Tahoe set. 1969 C/K CST 09-11-2006, 03:01 PM Thanks for the offer. My step-brother is a 20 year GM service tech. Mr. Goodwrench. He usually helps me with service and such. Hard to beat that kind of knowledge. 1969 C/K CST 09-21-2006, 04:01 PM Hard to tell from the pics, but it has a stainless steel tip on the exhaust and the GM top rail covers on the bed to match the tailgate. Ordering new Z71 decals and a bowtie for the tailgate. Here's how it looks now. New tires coming for winter. 67ChevyRedneck 09-21-2006, 05:23 PM Unless you hate how they look, I highly recommend fender flares. These trucks chip like a MO FO at the rear quarters and somehow along the entire lenght of the rockers! Just a suggestion. I really like the pinstriping. Just a suggestion. I really like the pinstriping. I have quite a few miles on my 2000 and there ins't any chipping in those areas. Around here, flares and ground effects only trap dirt and salt and cause premature rusting :D 1969 C/K CST 09-21-2006, 07:30 PM We get some snow here and Joe is right about trapping salt and debris. I like flares if needed for oversized tires, otherwise I like the clean lines. 67ChevyRedneck 09-22-2006, 08:10 AM I have quite a few miles on my 2000 and there ins't any chipping in those areas. Around here, flares and ground effects only trap dirt and salt and cause premature rusting :D Forgot about that. (I used to live in one of the worst areas for rust too! ) Well, that's not fair. My 2000 is chipped like a SOB :( 1969 C/K CST 09-22-2006, 10:44 AM Forgot about that. My drive is dirt and I run a mild all-terrain tire for the most part. 67ChevyRedneck 09-22-2006, 10:55 AM  I'd hardly call these "agressive." 1969 C/K CST 09-25-2006, 04:10 PM Nope, not aggressive. Not sure about that one. |
