how does the fuel tank sending unit wire run? where does it hook up under the dash. my gas gauge doesn't work. new sending unit. the second question is why doesn't my blinker indicator work? the right one just started working randomly going down the road. and also the high beam indicator works sporadically. when it does, the drivers side low beam dies out. and something completely unrelated. where is the "normal" i.e. 160* - 190* range on a stock '72 temp. gauge? i don't wanna overheat this thing or run it too cold. thanks.

sounds like you getting feedback through the wireing - look for coroaded connections and bad grounds. if this truck is a 72 you wont have allot of wires compared to newer trucks, get a manual and look for color codes maybe you have a bad tank ground wire too.

thanks, i appreciate the advice. i just got done hooking up the side marker lights that haven't worked in nearly 20 years. i had to add a couple grounds hear and there.
