Here is some pictures of the 1981 Blazer that I had posted earlier. I bought it last night.

This is how it looks after installing a set of 22" wheels today, that I had left over from another vehicle. I plan to lower it some tomorrow!

Nice blazer. I think it would look even better with the right year trim tho. The all chrome trim would be sweet with that paint instead of the scotsdale. But that is a really nice find. Who makes those rims? I like the look.

Well now its 2" lower in the front with new rear brakes. The wheels are BOSS 304 22x9.5". I didnt give a whole lot for the Blazer and have already started trying to get some correct parts for it!

I intend to remove all of the trim, change the grill, paint it, etc.

Really nice looking blazer. :) I wouldn't paint it expect for the top. Also I would change out the grill to something like a billet style.

Thanks man!

I just redid the stereo wiring tonight. Hopefully with board members help I can get the gauge cluster swapped over to.

I am leaving Sunday afternoon for college, so I need to have some gauges working soon!

Thanks for the comments. Its not perfect yet, but it does run!!

I didnt want to post anything about the trucks history without some proof. But 2 weeks later after buying it, I still don't have any proof. But this is what the guy whom I bought it from said:

"He bought the Blazer around 1981 from a dealership in Oklahoma. On the glovebox, or inside the glovebox was a decal or something that said it was made for the 1981 Sugar Bowl. The guy I bought it from said he had also met a guy somewhere else who had a full top 81-91 Blazer that was one of a few that was built for the Chicago White Sox owners."

Now keep in mind, I am not making any insinuations, not yet anyways. I ordered a Chevy Restoration Packet, and they at first couldnt find the VIN number until I finally told them it was a K5 Blazer (Might just be coincidence).
Hopefully one day I can find out more information on this! It isnt too hard to fathom Chevy building these vehicles though!!

a friend of mine took a 89 blazer and made it into a 75 full top, grafted on a 75 windsheild frame, cut the doors and swapped the 75 clip on it, looks awesome. ill try to get some pics up

I scored a Dual Headlight harness, lights, etc today in the local junkyard for $20!! Cant wait to get the DHL radiator support and get all of that bolted in!

I think a Phantom Grill will go on the beast!

Nice looking Blazer. You will love driving it with the top off.

Driving with the top off? What is that?

Seriously, I have nowhere to put the top right now. Im living in an apartment complex for awhile until I get my house. If I had a garage to put the Blazer in, the top would only be on in the winter!

So far, I have added a new chrome bumper (That is crooked. THink my frame is bent). Waiting to put in a decent floorliner before adding carpet.
