Would like suggestions on how I could get these dents out of the back of my cab. The rest of the cab is pretty much rust free and I don't need to replace any panels. The truck isn't going to be for show, but I do want it look as good as I can get it.
Should I try and pop it out from the dome light area...Not much room to me.
Drill and pop and fill
Don't want a super load of bondo to smooth it out.
I'm starting on my cab/interrior to get it ready for paint or at least primer for a while.
A'll my few body dollys and hammers were ripped off years ago so I don't have alot of stuff to work with.
Is there a special tool that might help with this.
Thanks

The least invasive method would be drill and pull. I had same problem with mine. Still quiet a bit of filler no way to get dolly to it.

Might want to take it to a shop that has a stud gun. Bet they could pop those out in about 10 minutes and probably not charge you much.

hmmmm that gives me an idea. Drill a hole and insert a long pop rivet but don't press it all the way where the spike is cut off. Then gently rock the pop rivet around (with pliers) while pulling until you minimize the dent. Then put the rivetter back on and clip the spike. Then drill out the rivet and fill! I'll give it a try later and see how it works. Think it would work? or has it been done already? lol

This is probably a variation on the stud gun but many moons ago in my body shop days we had a gadget that attached to the spot welder. You would put a small flat washer into it's jaw and stick it on edge to the dent. Cleaned off of course. Then you could use a hook to pull while you bumped the area. Like using a hook through a drilled hole but no hole. When you were done or needed to move the washer you just bent it back and forth a couple times and it snapped off. Once over lightly with the grinder and you was done.

Sounds like the best way is letting someone in more practice than I to undent me. I hate to drill and patch with bondo or glass to a cab that doesn't have any rust holes. I don't have a welder at home, nor am I very good at welding. I guess I will need to look into this a bit more before I attack it.
It sure is nice having a big group of experts or those who done it to call upon for help.
Thanks for the suggestions.

Think of them as being fairly large dents from hail (hale?) on your car. Where would you take it? Even if insurance would cover it, you'd still have the deductible.
Dents are okay. Rust sucks.:)
